Campsite
The Lange Wisch campsite lies in a really beautiful location directly on the Plöner See, Schleswig-Holstein’s largest lake. This is a great place for swimming, boat trips and generally relaxing in the lakeside setting. Handily, the campsite is also right alongside the community of Ascheberg, which contains some useful amenities: two supermarkets, a bakery and a couple of restaurants. The campsite has its own sandy beach onto the lake with a beach bar serving snacks and hot food.

Accommodation Options
Besides the standard camping pitches, there are two different types of mobile homes that for hire. The largest has a double bed and a bunk bed, while in the smaller version, the sofa needs to be changed into a bed. There is a minimum stay of three nights for the mobile homes. Bedding can be booked on request, all through the campsite directly.
Transport Links
Ascheberg benefits from a mainline railway station, a mere five minute walk from the campsite. The station is on the railway line from Lübeck to Kiel, where there are ferry connections further north into Scandinavia. It’s only ten minutes east on the train to the historic town of Plön. This is a great place to spend a day, wandering around the castle grounds, the old town or down to the waterfront.

Directions to Campsite
Leave the station and turn left, following the road along past the Greek restaurant. At the T-junction, you need to turn right and walk for a short distance on the footpath that runs alongside the wooded road. After only a few hundred metres, you’ll see the entrance to the campsite on the left.
