Campsite

Finding a campsite in the heart of a major city can be tricky. For this reason, Camping Lisebergsbyn is special. It is part of the accommodation offering of the large Lisebergsbyn theme park, one of Gothenburg’s major attractions. The campsite, however, is open to everyone, whether they intend to visit the theme park or not. There is a small shop, café and playpark on the site with a larger Tempo supermarket a few minutes beyond the entrance. Within walking distance of the campsite is a large swimming lake, ideal for cooling off in the summer.

Accommodation Options

There are four different cabin options available on the campsite, sleeping 4-5 people. All but the most basic cabins contain bathroom facilities in the accommodation. On the site, there is ample room for tents and an also a small hostel too.

Transport Links

The Lisebergsbyn campsite is around four kilometres from the centre of Gothenburg on the eastern edges of the city. The distance, however, is not a problem as the site is very close to the Welandergatan tram stop, where tram 5 runs direct to the city centre at regular intervals.

Tram 5 stops at platform A1 (next to Gustav Adolfs torg and opposite the shopping centre) – look out for the final destination of Östra Sjukhuset: https://www.vasttrafik.se/en/travel-planning/stops/9021014001760000/

The tram takes 14 minutes to Welandergatan. On leaving the tram stop, cross over the roundabout and walk up Olbersgatan. You will very soon see a mini golf pitch on your right. The entrance to the campsite follows on immediately.
