Campsite
The town of Knokke, located on the North Sea coast, is a popular seaside resort close to the Dutch border. Its sandy beaches attract plenty of visitors on warm summer’s day. In the town, there are also plenty of facilities for wetter weather, including shops, art galleries and a large indoors swimming pool. The Sportoase complex, which is only 15 minutes walk from the campsite, has a large main pool as well as slides and wave machine.
The campsite is just south of the town on the road to Bruges in area that contains several other campsites and resorts. There is no campsite shop, but that’s not a problem as across the road there is a large Carrefour supermarket which can service everything you need and more. It is only a short walk to the centre, where there is a good range of cafes and restaurants too.
Accommodation Options
The campsite is set up for self-catering guests with five different accommodation types available for rent. All of them can be easily booked through the campsite’s website booking system. At the most basic end, you can hire small 2 person tents. A better option may well be the bungalows that can be booked with beds for 2, 4 or 5 people. The largest versions have two separate bedrooms, a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The other option is to hire one of the large glamping tents that can sleep up to 5 people. Sheets and towels are also provided with all the accommodation.

Transport Links
Knokke railway station is at the of the line from Ghent via Bruges. There is a fairly regular service of at least once an hour leaving the platforms in the direction of these two larger cities. From Bruges, it’s possible to connect for trains to Brussels and Ostende, while Antwerp can also be reached by changing in Ghent. Knokke also happens to be the terminus of Belgium’s costal tram network that extends for 67 kilometres to De Panne on the French border. On the long journey, the tram passes through all manner of Belgian seaside resorts, making it perfect for day trips using the campsite as the base.

Directions to Campsite
From Knokke railway station, turn right walking along a wide tree-lined road. You’ll very soon reach a roundabout that you need to cross and head directly straight on. Carry on along this road for about five minutes. The entrance to the Holiday Village campsite is not the most obvious. Once you’ve passed an Esso petrol station keep an eye out for a small turning to the right, just before a large flower shop. Tucked away down this rather discrete entrance, you’ll soon find the campsite reception.
